Joyisaragundi Waterfalls – Monsoon trails
Joyisaragundi waterfalls is located in the middle of western ghats at a village called Mala near Karkala. It takes a small trek to reach this falls. Monsoon is the best time to visit this falls, but beware of heavy rain and blood thirsty leaches during this time.

Evening spent at Juhu Chowpatty Beach, Mumbai. Though the beach was fully crowded, the sunset was beautiful and we had good street food at the beach.

Shettihalli Church, Hassan – Abandoned floating church
Abandoned gothic church at Shettihalli village near Hassan. As per wiki this was built in 1860s by French and abandoned after construction of the Hemavathi reservoir in 1960. Ethina Bhuja, Pandava Hills – Byrapura trek
This was a one day trip to two temples and two short treks in Byrapura ghats. It included a visit to Bhairaweshwara temple and trek to nearby Ethina Bhuja hill in the first half of the day. Then in the second half we visited another temple – Bettada Byraweshwara temple and nearby hills called Pandav hills (Mekanagadde Betta).
