Joyisaragundi Waterfalls – Monsoon trails
Joyisaragundi waterfalls is located in the middle of western ghats at a village called Mala near Karkala. It takes a small trek to reach this falls. Monsoon is the best time to visit this falls, but beware of heavy rain and blood thirsty leaches during this time.
Horagina Betta trek – one day trip from Bengaluru
Horagina betta trek was organised by our office HR team. It is a small lesser known hill next to the more famous Nandi hill near Bengaluru. Its a one day trip from Bengaluru. Easy trek with various flowers, insects, lizards and butterflies on the trail.

3 day trip to Bijapur, Aihole, Pattadakal and Badami. This was a trip through the ages covering various rock temples, rock-cut cave temples, tombs, palaces and mosques ranging from 4th century to 17th century. Aihole, Pattadakal and Badami has temples of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism all next to each other speaking of the secularism of ancient India.
Ethina Bhuja, Pandava Hills – Byrapura trek
This was a one day trip to two temples and two short treks in Byrapura ghats. It included a visit to Bhairaweshwara temple and trek to nearby Ethina Bhuja hill in the first half of the day. Then in the second half we visited another temple – Bettada Byraweshwara temple and nearby hills called Pandav hills (Mekanagadde Betta).

Belgaum trip – Gokak falls, Godachinmalki falls and Bhimgad sanctuary
Totally unplanned 3 day trip to Belgaum. We managed to cover 2 falls – Gokak falls and Godachinmalki falls. We also trekked on two routes in Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary. We could not cover Vajra falls this time due to forest permission issues. But we will come back to visit this falls soon.
Gokak Falls – Belgaum trip – Day 1
